Oil goes deep, rust precipitates into the pores, organic staining bonds \u2014 and each cleaning works against absorption that a sealer would have prevented.<\/p>\n<p>Unsealed concrete also simply looks tired sooner. The grey film that builds between cleanings is partly contaminants lodged in open pores.<\/p>\n<h2>Timing and honesty<\/h2>\n<p>Sealing goes on clean, dry concrete \u2014 which means cleaning first is not optional, and a dry-weather window matters. Right after a professional clean is the efficient moment, since the surface preparation is already paid for.<\/p>\n<p>Expect to re-seal periodically rather than once forever; penetrating sealers wear with traffic and weather.
