Fines and broken grain are the highest-risk material and concentrate exactly where cleaning is most awkward.<\/p>\n<p>Exterior washing matters separately: roof and wall grime holds moisture against the steel, and clean surfaces make seam or corrosion problems visible before they leak. Fans, ducts and augers collect the same residue and join the list.<\/p>\n<h2>Timing and safety<\/h2>\n<p>The window is after the bin empties and comfortably before the next fill, giving everything time to dry completely \u2014 a washed bin sealed up damp is worse than an unwashed one.
